Manufacturing & engineering animation

Show what you make. And how it works.

3D product animation and engineering animation for manufacturers and engineering firms. Product breakdowns, exploded views, installation guides, process films and safety training, built from your own CAD files so customers, installers and staff get it first time.

What we make for manufacturers

From the factory floor to the sales floor.

Your products, processes and people, explained clearly for everyone who needs to understand them.

Product breakdowns & exploded views

Take your product apart on screen, part by part, so people see what's inside and why it's built that way.

For sales, specifiers and buyers

How it works

Product explainer videos that show the mechanism, the flow and the moving parts. Cutaways and x-ray views show what you can't see from the outside.

For customers and engineers

Installation & how-to-use guides

Step-by-step guides that show installers and users exactly what to do, cutting mistakes, call-outs and returns.

For installers and end users

Materials, process & benefits

Show how your product is made, what it's made from and why that matters, so the benefits are seen, not just claimed.

For marketing and specifiers

Health & safety training

Inductions, machine safety and site rules that people actually remember, with subtitles for every language on your shop floor.

For staff, contractors and visitors

Trade show & interactive 3D

Stand loops that stop people walking past, and 3D models your sales team can turn and open up on a tablet.

For exhibitions and sales demos

How it works

From CAD files to crystal clear.

CAD to animation, done properly: we build from the same files your engineers use, so what's on screen matches what leaves your factory.

  1. Send us your files

CAD models, drawings, photos of the line, or just the product itself. We work to your confidentiality terms from the start.

  2. We build it in 3D

An accurate 3D model of your product or process, ready for exploded views, cutaways and close-ups.

  3. You check every frame

Script, storyboard and animation reviewed by your engineers and marketing team, so every detail is right.

  4. One model, many films

The same model becomes your product film, install guide, training, stand loop, social cut-downs and interactive demo.

Norgren

Product animation that takes the product apart on screen and shows how each part works and why it matters.

Materials & installation

System layers, built up step by step

Alsecco

Animation that builds the system up layer by layer, showing the materials, how they're installed and the benefits of each.

Working with Carse and Waterman Productions is always a pleasure. They have brought my idea to life and the end result far exceeds my expectations.

Keeping people safe at work

Higher risk. Clearer messages.

Machinery, moving vehicles, heights, chemicals and heat. On a manufacturing or engineering site, a missed safety message can do real harm. We make the training that makes sure it isn't missed.

  • Staff, contractor and visitor inductions
  • Machine safety and safe systems of work
  • PPE, isolation and lockout procedures
  • Multilingual subtitles for every team

UTS: breaking down language barriers

With a diverse workforce, critical safety rules were getting lost in translation. Clear visual storytelling, with multilingual subtitles, showed people exactly what to do and what not to do. The result: less confusion on site and fewer repeat briefings.

Why animation for manufacturing?

Film can't do this. Animation can.

See inside

Look through casings, walls and pipes. Slow it down, take it apart, and show what a camera never could.

No shutdowns, no film crews

No stopping the line, no safety risk from filming on site, and no waiting for a prototype to be finished.

Keeps up with your range

When a product changes or a new version launches, we update the 3D model rather than starting again.

Why it matters

When a product is hard to explain…

Without a clear explanation

  • Buyers compare on price, not on what's inside
  • Installers guess, and call-outs follow
  • Spec sheets get skimmed and forgotten
  • Safety briefings get lost in translation
  • Every rep tells the story differently

With manufacturing animation

  • The quality is visible, not just claimed
  • Installation is shown step by step
  • Key details are seen and remembered
  • Safety rules are clear in any language
  • Everyone shows the same approved story

Good questions

Manufacturing animation questions, answered.

Do we need CAD files to get started?
They help, but they're not essential. We can also work from drawings, photos, a product on the bench or a visit to your line, then build an accurate 3D model from there.
Can you keep our designs confidential?
Yes. We're happy to work under your NDA from the very first conversation, and unreleased products stay private until you're ready to show them.
Why animate a product instead of filming it?
Animation can show what's inside, explode a product into its parts, and show it before the prototype exists. There's no need to stop the line or bring a film crew on site, and updates are quick when the product changes.

Got a product that's hard to explain?

Send us what you've got, from CAD files to a product on the bench, and we'll show you how to make it clear to the people who matter.
