Policy 12
Health & Safety
“No client deadline, render, shoot or event is more important than someone’s safety.”
We provide, so far as reasonably practicable, a safe and healthy environment for employees, contractors, visitors and everyone who takes part in our activities, in the studio, at home and on location.
At a glance
The short version.
Risk assessed
Proportionate assessments, reviewed after incidents and whenever equipment or processes change.
Screen time, managed
Workstation assessments, posture and break guidance, and eye tests for screen users.
Wellbeing counts
Unsafe hours aren’t treated as part of creative culture. Workload, stress and fatigue concerns are raised early.
In practice
What we commit to.
- Keep cables, tripods, stands and lights positioned safely
- Use proper technique and help for heavy kit
- Keep green-screen and motion-capture areas clear of hazards
- Plan specifically for stunts, vehicles, heights and special effects
- Keep emergency routes clear and everyone briefed on evacuation
- Report accidents, near misses and work-related ill health promptly
- Never carry out high-risk work alone without a specific assessment

Maintained alarms, extinguishers and emergency lighting, proportionate first-aid cover, and reportable incidents assessed under RIDDOR.
Home and hybrid working
Duties extend to home workers, with workstation self-assessments and support for any work-related discomfort.
Young people and work experience
Extra consideration for age, experience and supervision, a clear induction, and no tasks beyond their competence.
Contractors and visitors
Site information for contractors, competence and insurance for higher-risk work, and supervision for visitors where needed.
